Time came to leave the glorious pool at the Cable Beach caravan park and the stunning sunsets of Broome and hit the highway again.
Our next stop for the night was at Cape Keraudren where we pulled up on the dunes overlooking the Indian Ocean.
From there we travelled to the industrial town of Port Hedland were we stayed a few days behind Pretty Pools. It’s amazing to see the scale of the BHP iron ore loading facility with ships heading to Japan, Korea and other ports.
From Port Hedland we travelled inland through The Pilbera and our stop for the night was at this awesome free camp above a gorge. We put our feet up and watched the sunset, had a good nights rest and a hearty brekky.
Along the road we also got our first taste of Western Australia’s wild flowers
