Line Winder BF-216
Now it’s possible to expertly spool your own reels at home and this line winder is a must for all serious anglers who spool their reels tight. At the heart of the BF-216 is a CNC machined gearbox with brass gears that provide the required torque to make it possible to use a standard 18v cordless drill.
The BF-216 Line Winder can spool overhead game reels to size 80W, fly reels, spinning reels from size 1000 to 30000 and also most baitcasting reels. (Some small baitcasting reels with a big gearbox may require a spacer under the reel foot to lift them up).
Changing over from overhead reels is very quick and the CNC machined chuck has replaceable rubber pads. Together with the rubber cone, it makes spooling spin reel spools a breeze. It’s a perfect addition to the Bee’s Knees Reel Spooler which you can also find at Busted Fishing. This unit is made from primarily anodized aluminium and stainless steel, weighing in at a whopping 5.3kg

Awesome enginering with exceptional quality components. Easy to set up and use for all overhead / conventional and spin reels. I had previously purchased the Bees Knees spooler, Ripper Stripper and Level Head Line counter and this completes the whole spooling set up. Great piece of Aussie engineering and built super well, handles LH overheads too which is awesome considering l have 2 Avet Raptors in LH wind.

From order to use the whole process was simple. Easy to order, fast delivery to NZ, easy to set up and even easier to use. Did a great job and we had 3 new overheads and 1 spin reel spooled in no time at all. Using the bees' knees spooler also allowed for correct tension when spooling. Level head winder with accurate measuring and ability to evenly pack line while not putting any wear on the line under tension, was brilliant. We even used the ripper stripper to take line of another 2 reels to load on top shots and being able to measure made it so simple!
